Use Export / Import to back up your setup or migrate from other SSH configs.

Export

Available formats:
  • FreeSSH Format (.json): exports connections, groups, port forwards, snippets, known hosts, and keys
  • OpenSSH Config: exports connections to OpenSSH config format

Import

Available formats:
  • FreeSSH Format (.json): imports connections, groups, port forwards, snippets, known hosts, and keys
  • OpenSSH Config: imports connection hosts from SSH config content
After import, FreeSH shows counts for imported items and warns if some entries were skipped or had issues.

Access

You can open Export / Import from:
  • Command palette (Cmd/Ctrl + P -> Open export/import)
  • Main app dialog flow (Export / Import modal)
